The guys (Jim & Jason) over at Real Estate Tomato helped with the design and thanks are owed to Greg Swann at BloodhoundBlog for encouraging me to create a WordPress real estate site to begin with.

Shift Happens

I recently stumbled across a great video over at the Harper Team blog about how technology is changing our world. It reminds me of one of the best books I have ever read: The World is Flat. Population trends, education trends, and technology trends all indicate that the world we live in today is going to be drastically different tomorrow. This video helps explains why…

HouseFront offers Real Estate info with Mobile Phone Access

MyTechOpinion.com recently covered HouseFront’s offering by stating…

"I found the HouseFront service easy to use and it provided a quick turnaround of property information. With today’s younger consumers and real estate agents growing up with text messaging this type of technology is sure to be a part of tomorrow’s core essentials. I’m also interested to see how real estate agents who walk their geographic farm area will start using HouseFront and similar tools to access information as they need it!"

Most real estate agents in Metro Atlanta use Realist to obtain tax records and general property info. It is a great place to start researching property you intend to list or sell. Now the same information found on Realist can be obtained from your cell phone using HouseFront. Here is what they have to say about their product…

"At HouseFront, we’re taking the power of text messaging and applying it to real estate. We’re bringing accurate, immediate, easy residential real estate values directly to your mobile phone. And, with our extensive databases, we compile accurate value estimates as well as specific property details for over 75 million U.S. homes. Imagine the possibilities!

Whether you’re a home buyer or seller, real estate professional, or just plain curious about real estate, we’ve got a great addition to your mobile contact list.

Incredibly simple — all you have to do is text the address of any home (ie: 123 Main St., San Francisco, CA) to HOUSE (46783) and in just seconds you’ll know the scoop on that great mansion in the city or the cozy cottage next door, all for FREE!

You’ll get all this info about the address you text to us:

  1. Estimated Value (that house is worth what?!)
  2. Number of Bedrooms (where will Aunt Irma sleep?)
  3. Number of Bathrooms (less sibling fights?)
  4. Square Footage (yep, enough room for the pool table too)
  5. Lot Size (Man’s Best Friend will appreciate it)
  6. Year Built (Do more creaks in the floor mean more ‘character?’)

So what are you waiting for? Try it right now…

Plus, all of your previous address texts will be saved on our website under your mobile phone number. So feel free to take your cell for a walk around the block and then check out all the houses again from home on our website, where they’ll be patiently waiting for you – neatly displayed on one page. It’s that easy.

Dying to know more? You can access detailed info, including comparables pulled to derive values, transaction history, and interactive maps all on our website at www.HouseFront.com."
