The image is of the recently completed Hickory Log Creek Dam for Canton’s new Hickory Log Creek Reservoir. The reservoir will cover 370 acres when full, and offer 15 miles of shoreline.
So, we’re all excited about the new reservoir and then I get a newsletter from Chip Rogers:
In addition to the Hickory Log Creek Reservoir that is nearing completion, the Cherokee County Legislative Delegation is working to ensure our county possesses the necessary water infrastructure required for the future. Rep. Sean Jerguson and Rep. Calvin Hill are leading an effort to secure funding for an additional reservoir near Ball Ground. After an initial feasibility study, local and state officials are expected to approve and fund the project as either a contingency reservoir or water treatment plant. This is another example of the commitment Rep. Jerguson and other Cherokee legislators share to providing for our county’s infrastructure needs.
