CBA Bank Directors Graduate



R. Bradley Nix, Security Bank of North Metro, Woodstock, graduated from the Community Bankers Association of Georgia’s (CBA) Bank Director’s College, a part of the Community Bankers University.  The students participated in graduation ceremonies after three informative and interactive sessions in three locations across the state.

The sessions covered the Structure of Banking, a Regulator’s Review of Director’s Responsibilities, Economic Risk Profiles, Board Committees, Investment Portfolios and other financial industry hot topics.  Participants had an opportunity to learn first-hand from representatives from state regulators, top consultants and executives in the financial services industry.


The Bank Director’s College was developed in 1998 with the help of community bankers and a panel of experienced professionals in the financial industry.  The objective of the college is to present specialists who will aid in maximizing the potential of the community bank director.  The instructors are bankers, bank regulators, attorneys and accountants, as well as fellow directors.  All topics and discussions are targeted toward providing information for participants to take back to their bank and use immediately to become more effective bank directors.
