Is this summer the best time to buy real estate. Ever?

The Mortgage Reports Blog: With Another Rate Cut, The Federal Reserve May Be The Proverbial "Fool In The Shower"

Today Dan Green, The Mortgage Reports, explains why so many fed rate cuts may propel our economy into rapid inflation.  He does a good job of explaining the fed rate cut impacts with his "Fool in the Shower" analogy by Milton Friedman.  If he’s right, it could take a year or so to get there.  Furthermore, if Dan is right in his prediction of future inflation, then you can expect mortgage rates to bottom out soon.  In an attempt to defend against inflation, banks will try to hold mortgage rates steady even as the fed cuts rates. 

What does it mean for real estate buyers?  Sometime between now and the next few months may be the best time to buy real estate in history. 

America will be coming down from a  housing bubble (prices are lower), rates will be at historic low levels, and inflation could be around the corner.  IF this doesn’t scream BUY NOW, then what will?

Buyers can buy low, with a super low interest rate, and then ride a huge waive of future inflation = no-brainer, right?

We shall see during the spring and summer markets.

    Absolutely! If you are an investor or have equity in your home. BUY BUY BUY never a better time then now!

    I think the summer will prove to be a big boom people will start looking come spring and move in summer and we will see the people who bought some time ago that have equity moving and investor buying and rehab in preparation for sales down the road in 2009.

    Whether it is the best time to buy or not is specific to individual circumstances. That being said, there are A LOT of circumstances where now and the coming few months will probably be one of the best times to buy ever.
