Homestore, Inc., which recently changed it’s name to Move, Inc. rolled out it’s new website www.move.com on Tuesday, May 2nd. The site replaces Homestore.com, HomeBuilder.com, and RentNet.com. Homestore, Inc. (now Move, Inc.) also runs the popular www.Realtor.com website.
According to Realtor Magazine, the name change and new website is part of a long-term strategy to drive traffic to realtor.com.
It’s nice to see these postive changes taking place on a national scale for Realtor recognition. New ideas and change are not something that Realtors are always excited about. However, I am most excited about a fellow blogger being hired by Move, Inc. recently.
Rain City Guide (a Seattle based real estate blog) has been the leading real estate blog site for a while now and the forward thinking Dustin Luther is the man who makes it all happen. Dustin’s new position at Move, Inc. is Director of Consumer Innovations and it’s changes like this that I hope make a difference for Realtors across the nation. I look forward to seeing Dustin help Move, Inc. bring Realtors and Consumers into a better relationship.
