Prime Outlet Shopping in Holly Springs, GA

I had heard plenty of rumors about a new outlet shopping center coming to Cherokee County, but it appears very true now. Holly Springs will be getting a new Prime Outlet center in 2010. The 450,000 SF center will have 120 stores and should bring about 2,000 jobs to the area. The project will cost approx. $120 Million to complete.
The site will be located at the southwest corner of I-575 and Sixes Road (see map below)
Prime Retail said, “The Atlanta market ranked off the charts when measured against the criteria we use to determine the potential success of an outlet project,” said Robert Brvenik, president of Baltimore-based Prime Retail. “The need is there for a new, well-tenanted, outlet shopping destination that will provide access to a compelling mix of top designer and brand-name stores that offer shoppers dramatic savings off regular retail prices.” to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
I think this is a perfect location for an outlet center. The closest such centers are currently in Calhoun and Dahlonegha. No longer will the I-575 counties of Cobb, Cherokee, Pickens and Gilmer have to drive across town to get to premium outlet shopping. Another step forward for the 575 Commercial Real Estate market.
